The Alvera range is one deodorant. It is a roll-on in a cream 3 fl oz bottle, and the label on every scent opens with the same words: 75% aloe vera gel. It is a simple thing to describe and a hard one to shop for.
The same roll-on is sold many times over, as single bottles and as packs, under names that do not always say how many bottles you get. So count the bottles before you compare prices. A pack of four at one price can cost less per bottle than a pack of six at another, and the price of one bottle is the number that settles it. Put that number side by side for two packs and you can compare them without a calculator.
What the three scents share
Aloe & Almonds and Aloe Herbal print eleven ingredients. Aloe Unscented prints ten: the same list without its last word, Fragrance. After the aloe gel comes herb water with arnica, calendula, gentian root and coriander. Then come alcloxa, glyceryl stearate, gum arabic, whole oat protein, witch hazel, grapefruit seed extract, comfrey and TEA.
The bottle calls the formula a lotion, and that is how it behaves. It rolls on wet and needs a moment in the air before a shirt goes over it. Buyers who like Alvera tend to mention that it dries clear.
What Alvera is not
Alvera is a deodorant. Its ingredient list names none of the antiperspirant actives that federal rules allow, so it is not the bottle for someone who wants sweat itself held back on a hot day. One entry, alcloxa, does contain aluminum, and buyers who avoid aluminum in any form should know that before they order. The label says the formula is designed to keep you dry and odor-free, and those are the label's words, not a promise we can make for it.
The two scented bottles are scented. If you want no smell at all, take Aloe Unscented and skip the other two. And a roll-on is a liquid: a full bottle can let out more than you meant on the first few uses.
